Who?
J Willard Gibbs discovered chemistry. He worked on principles of thermodynamics, applying them to chemical reactions. He discovered chemical potential (aka the stuff that fuels chemical reactions). Gibbs took variables into the chemical reactions - temperature, energy, pressure, and entropy. He would plug variables into the equation and the rest would easily be figured out. This was the Phase rule. Gibbs work impacted both theoretical experiential science greatly.
Basically, everyone is affected by chemistry because if you have any rubber on you, you are wearing chemicals. Tye-dye shirts have chemicals to make the dye. So, almost everybody is wearing chemicals reactions or is affected by them. If you are wearing shoes, you are wearing a chemical reaction because people mixed rubber and sulfur to make your shoes. Tye-dye is made from chemicals. If you are wearing a tye-dye shirt you are wearing chemicals. Therefore, everybody participates in interacting with chemicals on an everyday basis.
